LOL Snoopy
An independent research commission has concluded that the best Internet contests involve LOL captions and my readers. Previous LOL books are available at http://jimhines.livejournal.com/tag/lol.

Today's LOL book is Goblin War [Amazon | Mysterious Galaxy], by some guy. Much more importantly, the caption comes from contest winner [info]lisamantchev. Congratulations, Lisa! Could you please e-mail me your mailing info so I can send you some random goblin goodies for your prize? (Jim -at- goblinquest.com).

You can see the top ten captions here. I've got some highly amusing readers -- thanks to everyone who participated!

Ooh, and the Amazon rank has dropped into the 4-digit range. Woo hoo!

One of the only things saving poor Jig at this point is the fact that there's so little meat on those goblin bones...

Yay! I liked many of the other captions, but this one got my vote because the wolf looking right at you, and the expression on Jig's face, made me decide the caption had to be the wolf speaking.

It captures Bastard's (the wolf's) attitude toward life and goblins, too :-)

That's right, today is release day! My son has been bugging me for months about when the next book would be coming out, so I guess I'd better get myself over to Amazon! (He reads faster than I do, so he'll get first crack at Goblin War--not fair to make him wait for me. Of course, I could tell him that the release date is still a couple weeks away....) Best wishes for much success with this!

Oh, and both the LOL cover and your icon are great!

Tomorrow, not today. Though the book is already popping up in bookstores.

And thanks! I hope you and your son both enjoy it!

Oops, got a day ahead of myself! (I think I'm just wishing for Monday to be over!)

Picked up mine last night (local Borders) as soon as we returned from the campout! Of course, the whole no-sleep-weekend combined with Mount O'Laundry and blown tire needing replacement meant that i don't get to read it until tonight *pout*
But it's MINE! mwhahahahahahahaha!

Yay! Borders loves me :-)

Sorry to hear about the weekend. But what camping trip would be complete without some sort of crisis?

No word from Amazon on the shipping. *gives Amazon a dirty look*

People are telling me they're getting notification from Amazon that the book has shipped, so hopefully you'll hear something soon!
