XD Stages of revision. Although it does recall my first impression, when I heard the term, "dead dog party".

How many do you want? I can do white on black for early Jan.

I actually hit my own cat last Jan. :-/ I'm not entirely sure how, but it was right where the kids get off the bus, so I cleaned up in a hurry. Sigh.

Thanks - I appreciate the offer. With most of these, though, I sell maybe one or two shirts tops. It's been easier to just upload 'em to Zazzle.

And ouch. Feeling bad for you, the cat, and the kids...

...I'm almost tempted, except that about every other time I read this it amuses me, and the other half it makes me want to cry for the dog. I may still be a wee bit emotional after recently giving birth.... LOL.

When I was hit by a car, I started every call with, "I'm ok, but..."

My parents taught me that this was the proper and ONLY way to start any phone call home about an accident. (Unless I wasn't okay, of course, but in that case I probably woudln't be the one calling...)

Also the proper way to make any phone call for more mundane reasons when it happens to be later than one would normally call one's family.

Hence, my 17 year old self starting such a conversation with:

'Dad, I totaled your car'
"Are you okay?"
'DAD, I TOTALED your CAR'
"ARE YOU OKAY?"
'Dad you don't understand I TOTALED YOUR CAR!"

Did not go over well.

To which my dad said - 'Put John on the line. ' I was calling from a Chevy dealership, owned by a friend of my dad's. A DOT truck had given me the option of being hit by it, or plowing into a row of Corvettes in an attempt to avoid the truck. I was 17. I froze. I walked away from a 2 year old Mercedes sedan that had suddenly become half its original size.

Yeah, that's what I did when I rolled my car twelve years ago, too.

While in the Army, we had a First Sergeant who, one morning at formation, took attendance, then said, "Anderson, your mother died last night."

Anderson collapsed, there was much panic, and after the dust settled the Chaplain and the commander called the Top in for a conference, and explained he needed to break bad news gently.

One morning a month later, he called roster, then said, "Everyone who's mother is still alive take one step forward. McCloskey, where the !@#$ do you think you're going?"

Love the comic! This reminds me of when I was hit by a car at school, suffering minor injuries, and the school nurse began the call to my dad with, "Your daughter walked into my office this morning and told me..." He told me later it was the best possible way she could have broken the news.

(Gah! LJ reset the connection on me and I lost my post!)

Well, I was laughing and typing ha ha ha ha!!! But it isn't as much fun retyping. @-@

If you happen to do this into a t-shirt, I too, would be interested in hearing more. Best of wishes to you for a great holiday!
