Cool Stuff Friday

Snoopy

In a truly civilized world, temperatures of -16 degrees Fahrenheit would be adequate cause for everyone to go back to bed.

We're only at -2 and I'd still like to go back to bed. I did actually close The Artisans' Guild for the day because I didn't want to ask anyone to risk their lives to go in and sell a mug.

I don't know which I liked better, the cats with amusing markings or the overly honest scientists! Happy Friday, Jim.

The plan for tonight is to see if the kids want to try to take the bubble wands outside and blow frozen bubbles with me. I've never done it before, but I suspect it would work well today.

Two-faced kitten? As in, it should have been twins but wasn't, so it's basically two faces on one head? Urg.

Different markings on either side of the face. Like Two-Face from Batman, only much cuter.

No, no, gejayi--it is really adorable. It is a kitten with a face that has one color on one side of its face and one on the other, as well as two different colored eyes.

In regards to the snow leopards, the Sacramento Zoo (which is tiny by zoo standards, only about 14 acres) opened a new snow leopard exhibit back in the 90s, when they were basically taking all the old tiny cages and combining them into far fewer, but much nicer, livable exhibits. The star of the hour, at the official opening party, walked out with her tail in her mouth, immensely proud of herself. In fact, her tail was her favorite nom until she died last year of old age. The other snow leopard, alas, isn't as interested in his tail.

P.S. My sister's dog, Rogue, has a heart on her fur as well.

Hmm. I just had a comment marked as spam; don't know if it were because of the photo link or the timing. Oh well, just showing off my sister's dog. :)

Ha - yet another person complaining about temperatures. That was our average temperature through December this year, here in Winnipeg. Last Tuesday, our *highest* temperature of the day was -29C (-20F). Every time it warms up here, it just means we're getting a blizzard. :P

Enjoy your balmy weather :D

Our tabby cat was once fast enough at chasing her own tail that she caught it, but she was *not* happy when she bit down. The snow leopards look much more comfortable!

Love the snow leopards nomming their tails - so adorable!! :) The cats and dogs playing in the snow were very cute - especially the sliding dogs.

The scientists telling the truth was hilarious. ^_^
Loved the bit where one said they worked 9am - 5pm because the office was dark and creepy after hours. Hee.

Also really liked the cats with markings. My favourites were the cat with a top hat, cat with a moustache and cat with a cat marking. :)
