Today’s my birthday.

If you’re so inclined, share something cool, amusing, hopeful, or nifty in the comments :-)

My breast biopsy came back benign. :)

Also I have been wandering around town giving random people very small paintings of fish because it is fun. (So far, no one has refused a fish although the librarian did look awfully confused before she informed me that the painting was awesome. Heh.) Some day I will become famous as that weirdo who is constantly asking people if they would care for a very small painting of a fish.

Eh. It amuses me.

Excellent news!

And that sounds like an awesome thing to be famous for :-)

Happy Birthday!

You asked for something hopeful - here's my new baby goat named Hope. Also, I consider having new goat babies to be pretty nifty, too.

For your birthday: GoPro footage from space and the story behind these amazing videos. Because I'm wishing you an out-of-this-world birthday! :-)

(N.B.: Why don't more people link to stuff on the National Geographic website? It's got some of the most awesome stuff on the interwebs.)

Cool! The world needs more interviews with astronauts and NASA-types.

Q. Why do you never see elephants hiding in trees?

A. Because they are REALLY good at it.

Alas, I have nothing clever or amusing...

Guy walks into a bar and says, "Happy birthday, Jim!"

Happy Birthday! I hope it's swell. :D

Here is a handy list, courtesy Mallory Ortberg on The Toast, that is making me and my friends laugh uproariously today:

What I've Learned About Female Heterosexual Desire from Decades of Reading. The comments are gold, too.

Happy Birthday! I just finished Libriomancer on the train in to Chicago this morning, and found it quite enjoyable! So, thanks for that.
