Happy Bookday to Alma Alexander

Today is the official release day of Alma Alexander's Spellspam [Amazon | Mysterious Galaxy], the second book in her Worldweavers series.

From the book description, "What do you get when ordinary e-mail spam becomes infused with magic? Spellspam."

Vikings: Spellspam Spellspam Spellspam! Lovely spam! Lovely spam!

Um. Right. Sorry about that. Anyway, "As far as Thea and her friends know, computers are meant to be inert vehicles for storing magic spells, not magical processors themselves. But all that seems to have changed as students at Wandless Academy find themselves the victim of practical jokes—with magical consequences—simply by opening an e-mail. Now the spellspams are getting worse."

Vikings: Spam spam Spellspam. Lovely spam! Wonderful Spellspam!

Wife: Have you got any books without spam?

Who are you? Oh, never mind. You could always check out Alexander's book The Secrets of Jin Shei [Amazon | Mysterious Galaxy], which I reviewed a while back. There's also the first Worldweavers book, Gift of the Unmage [Amazon | Mysterious Galaxy]. That's not got much spam in it.

Wife: I don't want ANY spam!

Man: Hasn't got as much spam in it as Spellspam, has it?

Vikings: Spam spam Spellspam. Lovely spam! Wonderful spam!

Shut up! Bloody Vikings! Look, Alma Alexander is a very good writer, but you can't have Spellspam without the spam.

Wife: I don't like spam!

Man: Shh, dear, don't cause a fuss. I'll read Spellspam. I love it!

Great. Thank you. How about I send you over to mindyklasky to read an interview with Alma Alexander instead. Or you could visit Alma's web site at http://www.almaalexander.com/, or visit her on LiveJournal at anghara. She's doing a virtual blog tour to celebrate the release of Spellspam, and--

Vikings: Spellspam Spellspam. Lovely spam! Wonderful spam! Spellspa-a-a-a-a-am Spellspa-a-a-a-a-am spam. Lovely spam! Lovely spam! Lovely spam! Lovely spam! Lovely spam! Spellspam Spellspam!

I'm sorry, I'm not prepared to pursue this line of blogging any longer as I think it's all getting too silly!

Sergeant-Major: Quite agree, quite agree, too silly, far too silly.
